Camp WIN is WIN for KC's flagship youth event and is designed to EMPOWER girls by introducing them to 14 new sports and fitness activities. 75 high school girls serve as team captains and role models.

Sport instructors come from local universities, colleges, high schools and other area organizations, including KU, K-State, and UMKC.

Each day features a Life Skills session with speakers on topics such as body image and healthy eating. Camp will include WIN's LIVE ACTIVE peer mentor Program on leadership, goal-setting, teamwork and resiliency.

Camp WIN's main outcome is to introduce girls to sports they have never tried, so that they can find something they like and stay active. Girls become more active, and are more willing to try new things, especially sports and fitness activities after a week at our camp. We measure this change through post-camp evaluations. This has tremendous long-term effects, because studies have shown that girls that participate in sports are less likely to get pregnant and use drugs, and are more likely to graduate from high school and have higher levels of self-esteem. 93% of all camp participants’ surveyed considered themselves athletes at the end of Camp WIN, only 70% considered themselves athletes before attending camp. When girls believe they are athletes, they are more likely to try new things, have more confidence and become leaders.
