Camp Wood YMCA offers traditional camp experiences along with specialty camps, such as garage band, horse camp, teen-leadership camps, skateboarding camp, and much more.

All of our campers participate in horseback riding, arts and crafts, canoeing, swim lessons, climbing tower, waterslide, campouts, archery and other traditional camp activities.

All of our programs foster healthy decision-making, lasting friendships, learning new skills, and strengthening values. It is our firm belief the activities which are offered to our campers are merely tools we use to help encourage self-esteem, build leadership, and lay the foundation for that “I can do it!” attitude which will stay with our campers long after they leave Camp Wood YMCA.

We take great pride in our program and understand the positive impact a high-quality camping experience can have on a child. We realize the window of opportunity we have to plant a sees in the children we serve is small and deem every moment a teachable moment, a chance for our campers to understand the potential we see in them.

Whether at archery or in the dining hall, the foundation for everything we do at Camp Wood YMCA is to encourage the emotional growth of our campers in ways that can be transferred to school and home.

Camp Wood YMCA is accredited by the American Camping Association and has been since 1991. As an independent YMCA we are reviewed fiscally and programmatically by the YMCA of the USA and adhere to all national standards.
