The Community School of the Arts summer camps offer exciting and enriching arts experiences for youth ages 5 – 15. Each summer camp runs Monday – Friday. All programs are taught by professional teaching artists who develop interactive, age-specific curricula that promote teamwork, confidence and creative expression. The camp experience is designed around the disciplines of music, drama, creative movement and the visual arts. Descriptive examples for a few of our camp programs as they are listed in our catalog:

(Drama Camp: I Love A Mystery - Calling all detectives! There’s been a crime! Who solves it? You do! You and your campmates will stage your own “whodunit” using theatrical techniques to create and build suspense. Perform your mystery production for your family and friends on Friday!)
(Camp Comedy: Saturday Night Live - Create hilarious comedy sketches and improv scenes similar to Saturday Night Live using improvisational techniques, performance skills, and your imagination. Work with professional teaching artists to develop your comedic style and put it all together for a performance for family and friends.)

At the completion of each session, an evaluation form is distributed to the parent/guardian of each participating camper. Results are compiled to determine client satisfaction with the programs, benefit versus cost ratio, and the quality of instruction the children receive, etc…

Each Friday, at the end of camp, there is a performance which demonstrates individual growth based on the skills/experiences developed during the week. Family and friends are invited to share in their children’s artful experiences.
