Description:
Whatsoever’s Summer Program is full of recreational and educational activities for your child. Youth participate in variety of activities such as boy’s and girl’s leadership, nutrition, gardening, and community service. A popular activity is cooking. In the Whatsoever Kitchen, kids get to be the chef. Each day, kids help prepare lunch using fresh produce from our garden. Learning to prepare the food kids grow themselves is an exciting and rewarding experience.
On top of all the fun programming offered at the Center, Whatsoever’s Summer Program takes field trips! Children and Teens get to travel to museums, hiking, skating, community service, an overnight camping trip and swimming. During Art Fridays, older children and teens write, star in, edit, and produce their own movie. They also travel to museums and artist studios for classes. Literacy education is offered each morning.
Whatsoever Community Center is reviewed and funded by Heart of America United Way, as well as Jackson County COMBAT.
