About Us

Camps For Kids is a Kansas City based non-profit organization dedicated to helping disabled and disadvantaged youth in our community experience the wonders and the very real benefits of summer camp. Since 1980, we have expanded our mission and our reach. Camps For Kids now provides critical funding for over 30 Kansas City area camps, with an estimated 4,600 “special needs” kids. Our goal is to raise $500,000 to help these KC kids. In 2006, we significantly increased the power of your Camps For Kids contribution by working to develop a matching pool of funds. Now, a $100 gift to Camp Quality, for example, can be turned into $200 when it's matched by dollars contributed by participating philanthropies.
